Jennie Finch: The Former Queen of Softball

Jennie Lynn Finch is an internationally acclaimed former softball player from the United States. She was born in 1980. She played as a first baseman and was the right-handed hitting pitcher in softball. During her lustrous career, she played for Arizona Wild Cats, Chicago Bandits and the Women’s Softball US National Team. She has been part of World Series Winning Team. In addition, her team had won one Olympic Gold Medal along with a Silver one. She retired in 2010 in order to prioritize about her family.

Finch started with the game at the tender of five. Her pitching began when she was only eight. She started her professional career in 1999 with the tournament of NCAA. It was in this tournament here she has her first no-hitter of her career. She then attended the 2000 NFCA Tournaments. She continued her wins in the tournament.  She helped the US to win the gold medal in 2004 summer Olympics with her excellent pitching. Her performance again helped the national team to win silver in the 2008 Olympics.

In 2010 before her retirement, Finch was named as the All-NPF. The Times Magazine has reported her to be ‘the most famous softball player in history’. Post retirement, Finch has been involved in the form of the color analyst with ESPN. She has been focusing on Softball Games of College and National Pro Fastpitch.  Besides the game, she also had received much recognition like runaway winner in Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Awards. She is revered by the median because of her clear attitude.
