Three Teams That Have 13 Wins and 3 Losses

The National Football League (NFL) has 16 games in a season and the regular season starts on the first weekend after Labor Day in September and concludes in late December or early January. There are 256 teams that battle it out for 17 weeks. One of the most stellar winning steaks is a team with 13 wins and 3 losses, although there are teams that have shocked many by having as many as 14 and 15 wins. Here are three teams that have achieved the impressive 13-3 record.

Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles went into the last game of the 2017 regular season looking for a 14th win over the Dallas Cowboys (9-7). However, in a low scoring affair, the Dallas Cowboys took the day with a 6-0 win over the Eagles though both teams struggled with offense. The Eagles also lost to the Kansas City Chiefs (10-6), and the Seattle Seahawks (9-7).

Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings 2017 team is the other team to have made the second-best record in the franchise’s history during the 2017 regular season. The Vikings lost to New Orleans Saints (11-5) and the Los Angeles Rams (11-5) at home as well as an away loss to the Carolina Panthers (11-5). The Vikings had impressive performances with impeccable offense and defense.

Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers posted a record 13-3 since 2004. The Steelers won the AFC North division title for the second season in a row with a 39-38 win over the Baltimore Ravens in the 14th week of the 2017 regular season. They secured their position at the playoffs for the first time since 2010 in week 16 with a win over Houston Texan 34-6. The Men of Steel lost to the Chicago Bears (5-11), the Jacksonville Jaguars (10-6), and the New England Patriots (13-3).

Super Bowl LII

The Minnesota Vikings lost to the Philadelphia Eagles 7-38 in the NFC Championship while Jacksonville Jaguars lost to the New England Saints in the AFC Championship.
