Ohio State is thinking about the future
Even though almost no time at all has passed since the Ohio State Buckeyes have won the championship – for the third time that is – their head coach is already hard at work. Urban Meyer has been seen meeting with his assistant Mickey Marotti. The two have been going over the team’s 2015 calendar and have been reportedly putting together the plan for the next season.
Meyer didn’t want to say very much about the plan and declared that they are still in celebratory phase after the big victory. However he let one thing slip and that’s his worst fear for the next season. He stated that complacency is the team’s biggest enemy and that they would have to be very careful and watch for that constantly.
Another issue that might cause turmoil inside the team is the three available quarterbacks the team has. One of these choices is Braxton Miller, a star player who missed this entire season due to a shoulder injury which required surgery. He might opt to return now or transfer for his final season.
The second contender is actually the man who replaced Miller, freshman J.T. Barrett who broke his ankle last year in the game against Michigan in November last year. The last contender is Barrett’s replacement Cardale Jones, a diamond that didn’t shine at first – for about 3 seasons. Jones went to lead the Buckeyes’ offense against Alabama, Wisconsin and Oregon scoring 88 points in total.
With the current line-up, options and guidance Ohio State should have a good season in 2015.
